SchemaWright is operated by Gabriel Marcondes, an individual developer based in Brazil. Using the site, whether that is reading an exercise, submitting a schema or subscribing, means you accept what is on this page. If you do not, do not use it; nothing here is hidden behind a click-through.

SchemaWright gives you business scenarios and runs the SQL you write against a real PostgreSQL instance, reporting which of a set of hidden tests your design passes. A second, optional step sends your submission to a language model for comments on naming, types and trade-offs.

It is a practice tool. It is not a certification, it is not a qualification, and passing every test is not a statement that a design is right for your job. It says only that the design satisfied the rules that exercise tested.

You sign in through GitHub or Google. Keep that account secure, because whoever controls it controls yours. An account is for one person: do not share credentials or let others use your subscription.

You may delete your account at any time by writing to the address at the bottom. Deletion removes your submissions, your progress and your subscription record together, and cannot be undone.

The exercises, their scenarios, their hidden tests and their reference solutions are the product. They took work to write and they are what a subscription pays for. So:

• Do not scrape, bulk-download or systematically copy the exercises.
• Do not republish them, in whole or in part, as your own or anywhere else.
• Do not share your account or resell access to it.
• Do not attack the grader: no attempts to escape the sandbox, exhaust it, or reach data that is not yours.

Reading an exercise, solving it however you like, and writing publicly about what you learned are all fine, and encouraged. The line is redistribution, not discussion.

The site, the exercises, the test batteries and the reference solutions belong to the operator.

The SQL you write belongs to you. By submitting it you allow SchemaWright to store and process it in order to run the service: grade it, show you your history, and send it for the design review described in the privacy policy. Nothing you write is published, sold, or used to train anything.

This is run by one person. It will occasionally be down, an exercise will occasionally have a bug, and the grader will occasionally be slower than it should be. There is no uptime guarantee, and promising one would be a number invented for a page rather than measured.

The service is provided as it is, without warranty. To the extent the law where you live allows it, the operator's liability for any claim connected to SchemaWright is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Where the law does not allow that limit, the law wins.

You can stop at any time by cancelling and, if you want, deleting your account.

Access may be suspended or ended for anything in “What you may not do” above, or where required by law. If that happens without you having broken these terms, the unused part of what you paid is refunded.

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A change that affects what you pay or what you get is emailed to everyone with an account before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, where the operator is based. This does not remove any protection you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
